Love & Co. Wedding Bands

ever since dear proposed, we have this habit of popping into jewellery stores - cartier, citigems, goldheart, lee hwa, sk, soo kee etc to browse through their wedding bands selection. was looking for something simple yet unique and of coz, pretty. very much fixed my mind on cartier as it has the design that best fits my ideal. part of our itinerary for hong kong in dec was to check if we would save on the cost of cartier wedding bands there.

zhenlin suggested that we should pay a visit to love & co. as her wedding bands are from them. dear and i made it a point to go down to raffles city outlet last sunday. after looking at all the available designs on display and trying on more than ten different designs, we managed to shortlist two pairs. price aside, dear prefers love & co. as he feels that the two designs does not look weird on his finger. for me, i decided that i should not go for branding. and yes! we bought our wedding bands at love & co.. thanks to calvin and rong for the great help and your service is greatly appreciated. though it would have been better if you had given us the couple bear on swing for free. =p

for him - LVC alegria

for her - LDR1049

strangely this model is not found on their official website and i did not find any images online. stay tuned for the real thing in 3 months. =)

Cream Pictures

the need to source for our wedding's photographer and videographer pushed me to do more research as i do not wish for a repeat of the selection of our bridal studio. *bleah* emailed almost all that advertised on perfect weddings and after two weeks of meet ups with various photographers, our final vote goes to cream pictures. our considerations were mainly practicality, budget, style and we were torn between kent wong, rex from luvaddict, daniel from wow media and of coz, tj from cream pictures.

i found kent's works while browsing on clubsnap forum in july and i have since fell in love with his wedding actual day photos. it is amazing how he could capture all the special moments at the perfect angles.

both dear and i like rex's style - bright colours and natural posing. it is a pity we did not do this planning much earlier as rex would have been our ideal pre-wedding photographer.

daniel is not exactly my choice but dear kept him as an option. his photos did not impressed me but they are definitely much better than others who are charging similar pricing as he is.

i chanced upon cream pictures' advertisement on facebook. their videos caught dear's attention and for myself, the good deal that they were offering is my main interest.

ruled out both kent and rex due to their high investment. thank you kent for the revision of package, but we felt that 8 hours of service is definitely insufficient. eventually, we decided on cream pictures as they have more experience and more flexibility in terms of their services and packages.

Great Eastern Women's Run 2012

gracie and i signed up for the 5km run this year, a good start to our healthy lifestyle goal. completing the 5km was easier than i expected it to be, given the fact that i cannot remember when was the last i did a proper run. both of us are motivated to do 10km next year. =)

The Feline Bridal - 1st gown fitting and taiwan shoot date

last weekend, i tried calling sally, the salesperson who closed our deal at the wedding show. both my attempts were futile as her mobile phone was turned off. dear casually mentioned that she might have absconded. =P she did return call after an hour and as expected, she did not remember who i was (given the time frame, not many would). she was so enthusiastic and friendly then, saying we could ask her out for coffee and she would offer her help because i remind her of her niece. however, her tone over the line definitely speaks otherwise. well, she did help in the end by advising that we should call up the studio direct to arrange for an appointment.

made our way down to the shophouse on wednesday as per arranged with the girl who took my call, tan wei choo or somewhat similar pronunciation. we were greeted by an uncle whom did not seem to know anything, but was nice enough to offer help and asked a few standard questions. true to my suspicion, wei choo did not put down my appointment and the coordinator, rachel was busy with another customer at the point of my visit. there was a taiwanese girl (i learnt of her nationality during the later conversation) who tried to make small talks with us while waiting. after about 10 mins, we finally managed to catch rachel. there was not much of a discussion, we merely checked the preferred period to capture the blooms in taiwan and the area which we will be staying for the shoot. dear was a little hesitant and surprised when i asked him to pay the remaining balance of the package to confirm the taiwan shoot. he later told me that i mentioned we were going to take a look at their gowns and portfolio before making a final decision. rachel advised that the studio have new gowns arriving on a monthly basis and they are able to alter the gowns on the spot, will be good to set the gown fitting date nearer our pre-shoot and so i decided to set the 1st gown fitting to be 6 weeks prior to our flight.

honestly, i am not very happy with their lukewarm attitude and we may not be enjoying this whole experience. just keeping my fingers crossed that the pre-shoot will meet our expectations. we are contemplating whether to take up their actual day photography package as it is the cheapest alternative but will decide only after seeing the results when we return from taiwan.

Cheating - extracted from Wikipedia

Personal Relationships

In western and other cultures, couples usually expect sexual monogamy of each other. If so, then cheating commonly refers to forms of infidelity, particularly adultery. However, there are other divisions of infidelity, which may be emotional. Cheating by thinking of, touching and talking with someone may be equally damaging to one of the parties. Not only physical infidelity is considered cheating. Cheating on your partner could also include something like chatting online with somebody. Online infidelity is also a way to cheat on a significant other. Emotional cheating may be a form of emotional abuse, which to date is treated seriously in a court of law as physical cheating. With the expansion of understanding of other cultures, there is a wide spectrum of what cheating means. When in a committed relationship, the definition of cheating is based on both parties' opinions, and both parties may redefine their understanding to match the party at an either lower or higher extreme of this definition. Cheating constitutes doing anything, whether verbal or physical, that one would not do in front of their significant other. Such examples would include: expressing attraction to another person, talking, electronic communications, texting, data, cybering, and sexual contact. Many people consider cheating to be any violation of the mutually agreed-upon rules or boundaries of a relationship, which may or may not include sexual monogamy. For example, in some polygamus relationships, the concepts of commitment and fidelity do not necessarily hinge on complete sexual or emotional monogamy. Whether polygamous or monogamous, the boundaries to which people agree vary widely, and sometimes these boundaries evolve within each relationship.

all went well with our meet-up with the sales manager of orchid country club. had a mini food tasting cum birthday celebration for the dad, brother and dear at peach garden. ordered $48++ per person set menu and half a peking duck. everyone is happy with the quality and quantity of the food and i guess we are set to sign the contract. did not capture the peking duck as we were all too hungry.
