as usual, i got caught up with running through my helicopter pictures that i missed the fighter jets display. managed to snap a few shots but were quite terribly cut off. must remind myself to not get distracted. wonder if there was a cut in budget for NDP this year as the fireworks were really tiny compared to last year's. lawrence, whom we met at bay east, commented jokingly that the committee is trying to clear near expiry or expired stock. *laughs* looking forward to next week's display and hope it will be better.

was hoping to catch fireworks for NDP 2013 combined rehearsal 1. dear called the hotline and the person said it was highly unlikely to have fireworks due to the haze condition. nevertheless, it was a great day spent with dear. =)

today marks the end of my career with Nokia - 7 years, 4 months and 6 days. it has been an enjoyable and fruitful journey. appreciate all whom imparted knowledge and skills selflessly for i had learned much and gained loads of experience through the years. 

to my mentors:
Janice - thank you for giving me the chance to be a part-time promoter during ntu days and the numerous opportunities to work at major concerts, events and roadshows. 
Joyce - thank you for providing guidance and support (both at work and off work) during my term as sales consultant and field representative (even after you left the team, and up till today).
Roy - thank you for the much needed knowledge on phones and applications. though there were times we did not see eye to eye, thank you for all the help you rendered. 

thank you to all who were once part of Nokia or field force, whom made life in Nokia interesting and memorable - all my fellow part-timers and sales consultants during the good old days, Jessica Tan, Francis, May Lynn, Derrick, Diana, Evelyn, Terence, Steve, Harold, Sky, Joe, Eric, Bryan Teo, Yingyi, Zhenlin, Clive, Alex Tan, Wei Chuan, Jason and all retail partners and retail assistants. 

looking forward to the next stage of my career and to working closely with my da jie once more. it is not going to be an easy road, but i will not let the challenges bring me down. wish me luck. =)

Hair by Roots (Kenneth)

kenneth has been my stylist since i started full time with nokia in 2006. do not judge the salon by its location as they provide professional service with a personal touch. you will not want to have your hair cut elsewhere once you have your first by kenneth. introduced yingyi to him and she can attest to my statement. i am amazed by the lasting hair colours (especially the red he did for me years ago) and i finally know the secret behind it - elumen. ;)

elumen - goldwell:
advantages - brilliant shine, vibrant shades, long lasting durability and no damage (penetrates into hair (closed cuticle), repairs and treats at the same time it colours)
disadvantages - takes longer time to complete process, higher costs, stains the scalp temporarily

colorance - goldwell:
advantages - fresh, lively and intense colours, easy and quick application, lower costs
disadvantages - colours do not last

this is the 1st time kenneth used colorance for my hair and i would have to wait and see how long this dye lasts. time limitation was the reason he chose colorance over elumen. appointment was one day before the photoshoot and i obviously was not prepared to have stains on my scalp at the shoot. =P estimated cost savings using colorance over elumen is about 30%. do let him know your budget and he will recommend the best solution for you.
