Day 01

took an overnight flight to gold coast from singapore and finally reached our destination after 7 hours, long grueling hours for dear.

meriton serviced apartments on broadbeach

we love the location of our apartment as it is quieter and more suitable for our age as compared to surfers paradise. a pity we did not make full use of the facilities, such as gym and pools.

1st buy from coles supermarket - the pineapple drink was surprisingly nice

dear was locked out in the balcony - his favourite & only smoking corner

pacific fair was the mall we frequented most due to its close proximity, about 10 minutes walk from meriton. it is the biggest mall in town with almost everything, from supermarkets to departmental stores to boutiques and the list goes on.

it was a daily routine - to take a walk along the beach holding hands and enjoy the cool, sometimes cold sea breeze. there was not a single surfer even as we approached surfers paradise, what an irony. guessed it was in anticipation of the storm that hit us. we left the beach as the rain drops fell and took shelter at a nearby beach club. decided to head back on foot after half an hour despite the heavy drizzle and there were moments where we froze in the rain as the cool air blew at us. seemed like forever before we reached oasis shopping centre - located within 5 minutes walk from meriton.

dinner ingredients from woolsworth supermarket - the sausages lasted us throughout the 4 days

dear suggested a post-dinner stroll but we did not even make it past the 7-eleven at the ground level of meriton. managed to capture a shot of the casino right opposite the apartment which dear contemplated to visit every night.

Day 02
