many of the venues we visited were unable to host the preliminary estimated 38 tables we needed for the banquet. we sought advices and were told that the number usually increases as the date draws nearer. in the end, i was torn between intercontinental singapore and orchid country club. the former's complimentary cocktail menu was tantalizing and they were offering an attractive $200 discount per table. however, their maximum capacity was 38 tables. on the contrary, the latter's package was much lower even without discount and extended blissful outdoor wedding show perks of free flow red and white wine to us. minimum capacity was 40 tables which we could meet with the addition of 2 reserve tables. after discussing with dear's parents which they left the final decision to us, we confirmed with orchid country club.
