i first found my fat lady while researching for a rainbow birthday cake for dear in 2012. ordered a standard round rainbow cake which both dear and myself fell in love with. the texture and taste was to our liking and i was set on getting her to design our wedding cake after looking through her works online. after much efforts to contact edna, thanks to dear, i was glad to finally meet up with her at the shop previously located at rumah tinggi. my only requirement was it had to be rainbow themed and left the overall design to her which she did over our short 10 minutes discussion. dear and i decided on 2 popular flavours, red velvet for the top tier and rich chocolate for the bottom tier. the cake was catered for the small group of relatives and friends attending our solemnisation, approximately 60 pax and cost us S$600, including delivery and set up. however, due to the postponement of our solemnisation to 7pm instead of 6pm, there were more guests than expected when the ceremony was over. the cake servings were grabbed up in moments and none of our relatives tasted the delicious cake. luckily, i informed the banquet manager to reserve a slice to be sent to the bridal suite for dear and myself.
